We want to Thank all of the participating artists again for your submissions to Lake Affect Magazine!

We received an unprecedented number of submissions and want to ensure that your artwork can be showcased in our community of artists and we are grateful to receive & review such a wide array of inspiring work created throughout the Western NY, Central NY, and Finger Lakes regions.

Lake Affect Magazine wanted to create a special space for the artists that we cannot publish in our upcoming issue, so we created an online gallery to showcase their work to our entire readership and viewership. This is an opportunity for exposure that we hope will also facilitate collaboration and community among artists.

Megan Campman

I am a self taught artist based in Rochester, New York. My paintings are an amalgam of impressionism and expressionism with a range of subjects.
I mainly work in acrylic paints and soft pastels due to their flexibility and vibrancy. They lend themselves well to the dream-like qualities I try to capture in each piece.
My art explores the rational and the irrational. Reality and illusion and the line in-between. My art tends to focus on natural scenes — seemingly untouched by the corrupting influence of man — but even this is an illusion, since they are borne of human hand.
