We received an unprecedented number of submissions and want to ensure that your artwork can be showcased in our community of artists and we are grateful to receive & review such a wide array of inspiring work created throughout the Western NY, Central NY, and Finger Lakes regions.
Lake Affect Magazine wanted to create a special space for the artists that we cannot publish in our upcoming issue, so we created an online gallery to showcase their work to our entire readership and viewership. This is an opportunity for exposure that we hope will also facilitate collaboration and community among artists.
Stacee Ryan
Stacee Ryan is a Buffalo, NY based artist who spent the first of her childhood around the Finger Lakes, and finally settled near Niagara Falls. She works in painting, mixed media art and collage. She likes to explore the subjects of life and death, loss, the universe, thought, nature, color and her own intricate memories.
She started painting in high school and that carried on to her college studies. Also adding printmaking and black & white photography into the mix. She was a Fine Arts major at Buffalo State College. She studied for 2 years, but never finished her degree.
Collage is her main artistic focus currently. It’s cathartic outlet and it helps create a story as she goes along, never know how it will end.
